Voter ID में कौन-कौन सी जानकारी सुधार सकते हैं?

Form 8 के माध्यम से existing electoral roll में गलत entries को correction के लिए आवेदन किया जा सकता है। ECI के Form 8 में correction of entries का प्रावधान है।

आप सामान्यतः इन विवरणों में correction के लिए आवेदन कर सकते हैं:

Voter ID Correction के लिए Eligibility

Voter ID correction के लिए सामान्य रूप से:

1. आवेदक का नाम electoral roll में registered होना चाहिए।
2. आवेदक के पास अपना EPIC/Voter ID number होना उपयोगी रहेगा।
3. जिस जानकारी में correction चाहिए, उसका सही प्रमाण उपलब्ध होना चाहिए।

ECI के Form 8 guidelines के अनुसार correction के लिए claim के support में document attach करना होता है। Residence shifting के लिए ECI ने address-proof के कई उदाहरण दिए हैं, जैसे Aadhaar, passport, bank/post-office passbook और कुछ property/utility documents।

Application Fee

Voter ID में correction के लिए online Form 8 application submit करने पर सामान्य correction आवेदन के लिए कोई application fee नहीं बताई गई है।

हालाँकि, correction और replacement EPIC की स्थिति अलग हो सकती है। उदाहरण के लिए, ECI FAQ में lost EPIC के replacement के लिए अलग fee provision बताया गया है। इसलिए correction और lost-card replacement को एक ही सेवा न समझें।

Voter ID Card Correction Online कैसे करें?

Step 1: Official Website खोलें

सबसे पहले Election Commission of India के Voters’ Services Portal पर जाएँ:

अपने registered mobile number आदि के माध्यम से portal पर login/sign in करें।

Step 3: Form 8 चुनें

Citizen/Voter Services section में जाकर Correction of Entries / Form 8 विकल्प चुनें। Official portal पर Form 8 correction service उपलब्ध है।

Step 4: Voter Details भरें

अपना आवश्यक voter/EPIC विवरण भरें और portal द्वारा मांगी गई जानकारी दर्ज करें।

Voter ID Correction में कितना समय लगता है?

Correction application को संबंधित Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) द्वारा process किया जाता है। जरूरत पड़ने पर verification भी हो सकता है। इसलिए सभी applications के लिए एक निश्चित 2–3 सप्ताह की guarantee बताना सही नहीं होगा।
